Kennedy was born 10 weeks early on May 11, 2008 weighing only 1 pound 6 ounces. This blog was originally created to keep family and friends updated on her progress in the NICU. On September 26, 2008 after 137 days Kennedy was discharged from the NICU. During her NICU stay this blog developed quite a following and since her discharge my husband and I have continued this blog so that the world could keep watching Kennedy grow. Please look around and enjoy the posts while you learn a little about life with a micro-preemie after the NICU.

Hi Katie & Shawn,
Congratulations on the birth of your new daughter Kennedy. Grandma Cindy just came over to help me log on to your website. Bobby & I just viewed all of the pictures. She's a beauty!!!!
