Kennedy was born 10 weeks early on May 11, 2008 weighing only 1 pound 6 ounces. This blog was originally created to keep family and friends updated on her progress in the NICU. On September 26, 2008 after 137 days Kennedy was discharged from the NICU. During her NICU stay this blog developed quite a following and since her discharge my husband and I have continued this blog so that the world could keep watching Kennedy grow. Please look around and enjoy the posts while you learn a little about life with a micro-preemie after the NICU.

Wow! I remember very well when she was that small! Katie, she looks amazing right now! I have been meaning to make myself an official "follower" of the blog and I finally just did. Isn't it amazing how fast they grow? When you look back, it's hard to believe they were that small.
I think Kennedy is eating great! My girls (17.5 mths/14 months adj.) are STILL not eating 18oz a day. We maxed out at 600mls for a long time. Only in the past few weeks do I think we MAY be reaching a bit more than that. You guys are doing an awesome job!
